Are Your Children at Risk?

Child Endangerment Lawyer

Is your child's mother accusing you of not properly caring for your child?

Or do you think that your child's mother is endangering your child?

A father can tell when something is not right with his kids. If you believe your children are in immediate physical danger because their mother or someone else in her household is abusing, neglecting, or otherwise not properly caring for them, call 911 or your local law enforcement agency right away. Sometimes, however, the signs of child endangerment are not so clear. If you are concerned about your children's safety, you can call Child Protective Services (CPS) for advice.

At DADSLAW, INC., we often advise concerned fathers to contact their local law enforcement agency and request a Wellness Check. The police will go to the home to check on the condition of the children. If there is clearly a dangerous or abusive situation, the children will be removed from the home.

Charges of child endangerment are serious, and not to be used as a tactic to get back at your child's mother. However, the safety of your children is paramount.

Sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, and neglect can all endanger your children's welfare. Does their mother have a problem with drugs or alcohol? Are the children unclean, inappropriately dressed, or voraciously hungry when you pick them up? Have your children's teachers or neighbors contacted you with concerns? It may be time to consider a modification of your custody agreement in order to protect the children.

It is particularly important to be attentive to your children's physical and emotional condition if a new significant other moves into their household. If the new person has a certain type of felony conviction on his criminal record or a violent past, DADSLAW, INC. can help you change custody arrangements to keep your children safe.

Contact DADSLAW, INC. today whether you suspect your children are being abused or neglected by their mother or whether their mother is accusing you of child endangerment.
